https://www.youtube.com/ Located in the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies, Barbados is an island country famous for its stunning landscape and its rum. But this former Commonwealth country also made the headlines recently after it transitioned to a republic in 2021. To discuss the future and the seemingly endless possibilities that this institutional shift brought about, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with Mia Amor Mottley, prime minister of Barbados, and looked into some of the opportunities provided by China-Barbados cooperation, especially within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. A fervent supporter of the fight against climate change, Mottley also expressed her concerns about its impact on small island states and called upon the international community to unite to support global efforts.
